May afternoon
May afternoon
and I read in my study
light on the file cabinet
with cards and letters
before and since email
old poems as well
treasures to rediscover
and remember
perhaps this summer

POEMS FROM OOSTBURG, WISCONSIN

reading for hours
reading for hours
as when young
thoughts of loved ones
from those years too
sky the color
of forget-me-nots

April: Short Wisconsin Poems
everyday beauty
cedar tree in sun
near the garage
and a dove on the branch
by my study window
late April and
the garden turns
towards May
primrose leaves
near the door
last week in April
and music is new
bird songs
April
the last few days
still cold
snowdrops
continue to bloom

Happy Easter

Easter Season
As with Christmas, I think of Easter as a season. One Story. And perhaps this takes some pressure off “the holidays.” Life changes – we remember and we look forward. One day at a time. I enjoy seeing all the ways artists create. And we are all creative artists. Could be something as simple as a plant by the window, or how books are arranged on a desk. Always beauty, always hope.
From the April 6, 2021 post – and I will add all the creativity that is a part of blogs.
