Short Sun Poems

patterns on my floor
moving with the breeze
sun from the West
branches of leaves

in golden light

losses in life
low setting sun
through branches of trees
now rises again
as birds quietly sing

small branch growing
from the old tree trunk

two red tulips
lean towards sun
perennial friends

wind uplifting
the branches of trees

the same poems
for the rest of my life
stars and tree branches
another sunrise

“patterns on my floor” was published by Time of Singing poetry journal, Spring 2011.

early Spring

kite flying
in March sky
gift of new Spring

March rain
seagulls find
puddles in fields

I rediscovered these poems from March 12, 2013 on my site, My Best Short Nature PoemsSpring is early this year, though yesterday was cold and there may be snow in April!

Yet the days are longer and I hear the songs of more birds.

I enjoy reprinting some poems in different ways.

Blessings, Ellen
